Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have won the 2013 Grammy for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for their work on 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,' director David Fincher's 2012 film adaptation of the popular novel of the same name. In winning the prize, the Nine Inch Nails mastermind and his frequent collaborator beat out such Hollywood heavies as John Williams.

'Dragon Tattoo' is Reznor's second score for Fincher, and he and Ross won an Oscar for their first, penned for 2010's 'The Social Network.' Over the years, Reznor has been nominated for 12 Grammys, though he revealed in 2011 that he'd managed to lose the two he's won while moving house. As Clash Magazine reports, he wasn't too broken up about it.

"Why don't the Grammys matter?" Reznor asked. "Because it feels rigged and cheap - like a popularity contest that the insiders club has decided The movie side is interesting, challenging, different and rewarding in way that I hadn't experienced through my music career."
