99x Rock Jock ‘Jade’ Sings ‘You’ with Candlebox [VIDEO]

As we prepare for Festapalooza II, coming up September 20, 2014, in downtown Shreveport's Festival Plaza, we'll be posting all kinds of cool info and videos on the bands that will be performing.

Here's one that I've been waiting on, and the timing couldn't be better -- since Kevin Martin of Candlebox (& Friends) are on the Fest lineup. This is a video my friend Amanda Currier recorded when Candlebox played Riverside Warehouse many months ago.

A little back story...the day of their show, the guys were at Blade Studios recording a couple of live songs for us. On the way up there, I was sitting in the back seat of Rockin' Rick's car with Kevin and one of the other guys, and I was telling them how it's always been a dream of mine to sing with them. So we made a plan that I would get up and sing "You," since it's always been my favorite.

I was pretty nervous, knowing I was going to be singing in front of one of my favorite vocalists of all time. And I got up there a little later in the song than I was supposed to. But I'm pretty proud of the end result.

It was an awesome night for me, a dream come true. I got to play rock star for a night, and I've been wanting to share this with all of you for a while now. The time has come! I hope you enjoy it.
