“In music, everybody wants to be part of something big. But sometimes we zig when others zag. We stick out like a sore thumb. And that’s ok. We create our own vibe.”

So says American Fangs frontman Gabe Cavazos. And that vibe must be resonating, because when was the last time you heard about a band from Houston (not exactly known as a musical breeding ground) blowing up on a national level? After tours with the Deftones and Chevelle, and the release of their debut self-titled album, American Fangs are ready to do just that...

Catch American Fangs at the 99X-Redd's Apple Ale Festapalooza (presented by Bossier City Harley-Davidson) Saturday, September 14th at Festival Plaza. Get there early, because the Fangs open the show, and go on around 12:30...and from what I hear, it's a show you don't want to miss. What can you expect? Well, according to Cavazos,

“I’m psyched: people will see we’ve got an energy when we play live. There’s a rhythm there. You can tell we really believe in what we’re doing. I can’t always
be in people’s faces or climbing stuff during every song. But it’s nice to go to a show and see people cut loose, see girls having a blast. It’s something that’s been missing from music for a while now.”
