It's called a black mass and it's billed as a Satan worship service. It's being held in September in Oklahoma City's Civic Center Music Hall.

A spokeswoman for the venue Jennifer Lindsey-McClintock, defended the scheduled black mass by saying that she is not in a position to say "whether it is appropriate or not." She told the Catholic News Agency "that’s not for us to judge," citing the music hall’s neutrality policy.

The event is scheduled for September 21. Tickets are $15 each.

Could a black mass happen in Shreveport or Bossier City? We hope not. But most public facilities do have a policy of neutrality.

In case you missed it, Paul Harvey had quite a message that he delivered in 1965 predicting some of what we are seeing today.
