Bossier Sheriff Julian C Whittington swore in 5 new Bossier Parish Sheriff's Deputies this week, and he's looking for more.  The five new deputies will make a welcome edition to the BPSO, but if you think you have the right stuff - they'd love to talk to you!

Bossier Press reports that the process might be easier than you think.  If you'd like to join up, start by calling the Human Resources Department at (318) 965-3459.  They'll get you set up with a test - the first step in becoming a deputy for the fastest growing parish north of I-10.  That growth, coupled with the need for more school resource officers, is the reason for the current openings.

Sheriff Whittington says that there are jobs available and the BPSO is hiring.  Quick note - while you only have to be 18 years old to be a corrections officer, you must be at least 21 to apply for the deputy position.
