In the interest of keeping your pets and the pets of those around you healthy, it is very important that your fur babies receive their vaccinations. One of the most important of those is a rabies shot, especially if you claim outside animals as yours. In order to get as many animals vaccinated as possible before the weather gets cold, the Caddo Parish Animal Shelter is offering free rabies shots to pets with owners that reside in the Parish.

CPAS will be holding the free Rabies Clinic on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Caddo Parish Animal Shelter, 1500 Monty Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. The clinic will be held from 10:00am – 2:00pm.

“Many deadly animal diseases and infections, including rabies, can be prevented by vaccination,” said Chuck Wilson, Director of Animal Services and Mosquito Control. “Vaccination maintains the health and happiness of animals and reduces the need for potentially expensive veterinary treatment of serious diseases.”

The first 500 Caddo Parish residents that attend the clinic will be eligible for the free shots. Shots will be given to dogs, cats and ferrets.
