Caddo Commissioner: Public Needs To Know Sci-Port Facts [VIDEO]

Caddo Commissioner Steven Jackson talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the situation with Shreveport's Sci-Port Discovery Center and whether representatives of the downtown museum did, in fact, solicit a $2 million loan from the parish's legislative body.

Regarding the earlier claim by Sci-Port Chairman of the Board of Directors Rich Lamb, Jackson says the request at the meeting with board member Linda Biernacki was a "serious ask" and "it was a very serious conversation." In response to the question about possibility of the loan, Jackson responded, "They asked us to consider would the parish be willing to consider a $2 million loan for restructuring the Sci-Port debt."
