I, for one,  love classic movies.  'Citizen Cane', 'The Maltese Falcon', 'The Quiet Man', 'A Streetcar Named Desire'.  I'm sorry, special effects aside, 'Avatar' can't hold a candle to the classics...

And when it comes to classic movies, Alfred Hitchcock is the king.  His body of work is amazing and nearly flawless - 'Notorious'...'The Birds'...'Psycho'...and the ultimate Hitchcock flick 'Rear Window'.
If you haven't seen 'Rear Window', the AMC Movie Guide synopsis gives you a quick overview of the movie:

Laid up with a broken leg, photojournalist L.B. Jeffries (James Stewart) is confined to his tiny, sweltering courtyard apartment. To pass the time between visits from his nurse (Thelma Ritter) and his fashion model girlfriend Lisa (Grace Kelly), the binocular-wielding Jeffries stares through the rear window of his apartment at the goings-on in the other apartments around his courtyard. As he watches his neighbors, he assigns them such roles and character names as "Miss Torso" (Georgine Darcy), a professional dancer with a healthy social life or "Miss Lonelyhearts" (Judith Evelyn), a middle-aged woman who entertains nonexistent gentlemen callers.

When I saw a youtube video claiming to organize the entire movie into a single, panoramic, time-lapse shot - there's no way I could pass it up.  And it is truly unbelievable!  Even if you've never seen the movie, you'll have to agree that's it's a pretty amazing piece of editing. Jeff Deasom obviously put hours of work into this 3 minute video...3 minutes of mind-blowing classic movie fun!  Check it out:
