It's been a LONG time since we've seen CM Punk. Punk made his UFC debut on September 10th 2016. In that fight, he was submitted by Mickey Gall in under 3 minutes. Since, its been nothing but rumor and innuendo. There have been stories about his next UFC, Punk maybe moving to another MMA organization, returning to pro wrestling...just all kinds of stuff.

Well, it would seem, that maybe we finally have a concrete answer on his future. On February 3rd, the UFC announced that for the first time ever, they will be holding a PPV event in Chicago. Punk, of course, is a Chicago native and beloved by the people in the city. So, it would only make sense to have Punk on the card.

For one, he would draw a TON of money in both ticket sales and PPV buys. Secondly, he's not getting any younger. He's 39 years, will turn 40 in October...if you are going to use him to draw money and be a believable opponent for anyone, you have to use him now.

UFC 225 will take place in Chicago on June 9th.
