Call of Duty Advanced Warfare E3 2014 Trailer: Induction
At their E3 press conference today, Microsoft showed off Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare being played live on stage. They also announced that Xbox One players will have early access to all of the game's DLC content.
The gameplay demo featured a lengthy sequence taking Private Mitchell and his squad-mates through a hectic urban battlezone, and it looks about as impressive as a Call of Duty game should. Some near-future technology makes an appearance, including boosters that slow a soldier's fall, a huge, four-legged mechanized walker, energy weapons, unmanned flying drones and homing grenades. Call of Duty's trademark blend of chaotic action and cinematic first person presentation is well represented in the demo, as well.
Xbox will be getting the game's DLC first, which is par for the course for Call of Duty games. Several previous CoD games have seen their DLC premiere on Microsoft platforms, including Ghosts, Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is being developed by Sledgehammer Games, and is scheduled for release on November 7 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC.
