A LOT has changed since Fuel formed around 1993. The band has lots of line up shifts and many ups and downs. In fact, I've seen a lot of people on the Internet say the band is nothing but a bunch of washed up has-beens. But the truth is, these folks probably haven't seen the band lately because nothing could be farther from the truth.

Since the return of Brett Scallions in 2010, Fuel have been kicking ass and taking names like it was the early 90s. Not only do they appear to be tighter than they have in a long time, but the band is producing what is arguably the best music they have in over a decade. Their new(ish) album 'Puppet Strings' which came out in March is absolutely awesome!

Which brings me to my point, the band is far from being done. Unlike a lot of bands that are more or less burned up by the time they hit the 20 year plus mark, Fuel has a lot of mileage left in them. They may be used, but they sure as hell ain't used up.

I know they are one band I'm definitely looking forward to seeing September 20th at this year's Smith & Forge Festapalooza! Get your tickets now because you don't want to miss out on a day chock full of kick ass rock and roll!
