Finally!  An appropriate place to yell "FREEBIRD"!!!!  The Excalibur Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is preparing to open a new theme restaurant next fall devoted to Lynyrd Skynyrd. They say "Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ & Beer" will offer fans of the iconic redneck rock band a "fully immersive experience" that embraces the Southern rock lifestyle.

The décor will transport diners to Hell House, the ramshackle, backwoods Jacksonville joint where their sound originated.

Cover bands will play Skynyrd hits, the wait staff will lead diners in singalongs of their songs, and the actual group will occasionally play there when they're in Vegas. It's a wonderful idea for a place if they can keep patrons from shooting themselves with a Saturday Night Special. Seriously, how many times can you really hear "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Freebird" before becoming certifiably insane?
