On my way home from work saw some major smoke coming off I-220 right around Cross Lake.

I thought it was probably a grass fire from a cigarette that had been thrown out of a car window, but as I got closer I could tell it was a lot bigger than that.

Turns out it was a huge fire at the landfill right off Russell Road.
The fire looked pretty major, but contained in the landfill. That made me think it might be a controlled burn, but we are still under a burn ban. There were tons of fire trucks and emergency vehicles on site. It's maybe time to second think lifting those burn bans.
