Less than 30 seconds in...WHOA!  While a lot of bands spend tons of cash on videos with cars, chicks, and booze (which I don't advocate, but thoroughly enjoy!), Five Finger Death Punch goes the 'deep social impact' route, and man, do they get their point across!  We'll chat later, but for now, suck down the new video:

Pretty intense, huh? Gotta give the 5FDP boys credit for putting their time and effort into the cause they base the video on. If you watched all the way through, The final screen offers a call to action: "Don't ignore the chance to get help for you or someone you know who might be in crisis. Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline now at 1-800-273-TALK (8255), suicidepreventionlifeline.org."

Last week, Five Finger Death Punch announced a suicide prevention initiative promoting the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. The band has filmed a public service announcement, available for air broadcast, cable and web outlets interested in supporting the initiative. Check it out here:

Guitarist Zoltan Bathory shared,

"Through support and awareness, suicide can be prevented. Five Finger Death Punch is promoting the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline to build awareness that there is support out there for those in need through the Lifeline's service, and others. This is an important initiative we have taken on to place it on the consciousness of the public that you are not alone when in need." Dr. John Draper, Director of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline offered, " By sharing the message with their fans that suicide is preventable, the members of Five Finger Death Punch will undoubtedly save lives. We are thrilled that they are helping get the word out about this valuable 24/7 service."

Indeed.
