Lifelong rocker and at one time, Program Director for 99X, Flynt Stone has been battling cancer which has now progressed to Stage IV where it has metastasized to his bones.  We would like to extend our support to Flynt and his family during his time of need.

Flynt has been on the airwaves in Shreveport/Bossier for 25+ years, but sadly now can no longer even speak.  He is bed ridden and spends all his time at home with his daughter in charge of his care.  She reached out to us and would like some comfort items to assist with their day to day living.

What we here at 99X would like to do is support him and his daughter (who takes care of him right now day in and day out) by giving him a donation.  100% of these donations will go to Flynt and his family and will be mainly used to pay their living expenses while his daughter seeks to find a home health nurse to assist her in his care.  So if you can, cough up a few bucks and pitch in to assist a brother in need by clicking the donate button below.

If online donations aren't your thing, there will be a fundraiser for Flynt Stone at Coyote's Bar and Grill this Friday the 13th from 6pm-9pm.

UPDATE: 07-13-12 I went over to visit Flynt after his second round of therapy yesterday. His daughter said that she would have liked to get him a decent TV for Father's Day (as all he can mainly do is lay on the couch and watch TV) but couldn't afford it now that she's stopped working to take care of him. We at Townsquare put our minds together and came up with a 32' flat screen for him. When talking with him, he was sometimes difficult to understand because he has a tumor pressing against his voice box. He and his daughters wanted to wish everyone that is donating and all of the listeners a heartfelt thank you. We started this post yesterday and created the link to donate and as of this writing we have collected around $250.00 of your contributions.
