Mark Cooper, Chief of Staff for Governor John Bel Edwards, spoke at Wednesday's Legislative Summit, sponsored by the Bossier City Chamber of Commerce. The fete, held at Bossier's CenturyLink Center, is an annual event featuring politicians, civic leaders and area business people to honor area lawmakers.

Cooper, who followed Congressman Mike Johnson to the stage, touted the legislature's bi-partisan vote to avoid the state's "fiscal cliff" and fully funding Louisiana's college tuition TOPS program as the Governor's major accomplishments.

But it was a seemingly offhand remark by John Bel's COS that raised the ire of 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Erin McCarty. About nine minutes into his presentation, Cooper mentioned "the misinformation that's put out there on social media and KEEL radio about the governor." After being notified of the reference by a number of attendees, McCarty tracked down the Chamber's video to see for herself. And then, as you'll plainly see and hear, she took a bit of offense. And on Thursday's Robert and Erin morning show, she just had to let off a little steam.
