On this day in 1775 the Proud, the Few, the Marines were formed. Today, the United States Marine Corps celebrate their  236th birthday.

Across the country and in foreign Marine posts all over the globe Marine's are celebrating in grand style with Marine Corps Balls all month long.

We will find out if the celebrities that promised to go to the balls with Marines will own up to their promises.

Back in July, Sgt. Scott Moore of 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marines, out of Camp Lejeune, N.C. posted a video on Youtube asking out Mila Kunis to the Marine Corps Ball on November 18th and Cpl. Kelsey De Santis, of the Marine Corps Martial Arts Center for Excellence at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va. followed up with another Youtube video and asked Justin Timberlake to her Marine Corps Ball on November 12th in Washington, DC.

But, I digress.  The point of this is to wish all the Marines of Bravo Company, 1/23rd Marines, part of the 4th Marine Division and around the world a very happy birthday.
