Never a band known for their numerous television appearances, Perry Ferrell and Jane's Addiction ended an 8-year sabbatical from the tube with an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live Friday night.

Noticeably absent was bassist Eric Avery, who left the band for the second time after Australia's Soundwave Festival in February 2010. In his place was touring bassist Chris Chaney, who Jane's fans will recognize from 2003's 'Strays' album.

The band ripped through 'Irresistible Force", the first single of their soon to be released The Great Escape Artist, before performing a website only exclusive of "Stop' from 1990’s Ritual De Lo Habitual. Check out both performances here:

Look for The Great Escape Artist in stores and online on Tuesday, October 18th.
