Lincoln hit theaters and I have to give it props. Steven Spielberg directs Daniel Day-Lewis in a revealing drama about the 16th President, slavery and war. And they didn't have to use axe-wielding or vampires to make it good either!

I'm glad Disney brought Lincoln back, but if I had my choice of Presidents to bring back, it would have to start with ole wooden teeth himself, George Washington. Just the Delaware scene alone across the big screen would be enough to revitalize this nation and get them off their duffs.

So many folks are concerned that this isn't a true biopic. Let me remind all of you, there were no color movie cameras back then. Whether this movie was intended to garner patriotism or not isn't clear, but it sure does beat another damned vampire/werewolf flick. Maybe Teddy Roosevelt Zombie Killer will be coming out next year. I'm in, pass the popcorn.

88% liked this movie on Rotten Tomatoes and it's been getting a good 3.5 to 4.5 stars everywhere else.
