Last Friday (June 29) is a day that Los Angeles denizens Linkin Park will remember for a while. The evening started with DJ Joe Hahn, bassist Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, and emcee Mike Shinoda throwing out the first pitches at Dodger Stadium before the Los Angeles Dodgers-New York Mets game.

But after taking part in one sporting event, ESPN reports that the guys trekked it a few miles over to Club Nokia where they were the talent for a private X-Games concert event. Hahn, in particular, was still feeling the Los Angeles love as he kept his Dodgers jersey from the ceremony on for the X-Games performance.

The group played a 90-minute set that they’ve now posted online for all to see. The set was heavy on past hits like the set-opening ‘Faint,’ and past chart-toppers like ‘Somewhere I Belong’ and ‘What I’ve Done,’ as well as the show-closing ‘Bleed It Out,’ which featured a bit of the Beastie Boys‘ ‘Sabotage’ thrown in for good measure. But there were also new tracks as well as ‘Lies Greed Misery’ and ‘Burn It Down’ both made the set list.

The band also used the platform to showcase their “Green Guitar Project,” in which they’re using wood that had been recycled from landfills to construct the guitars they were using. Shinoda told the crowd, “We are looking at getting in the business of people sending in your guitars and we’ll fix them, and they will never, ever leave this earth!”

Linkin Park are supporting the newly released ‘Living Things‘ album and will be on the road this summer heading up the Honda Civic tour.
