LSU’s Orgeron Wants a Balanced Attack Against Texas A&M

The 8th ranked LSU Tigers will be looking for their eighth straight win against Texas A&M when the two teams collide Saturday night in College Station.

This year, the Aggies are 7-4, are headed to a bowl game, and they rank number one in the SEC in defending the run. But LSU Head Coach Ed Orgeron says he wants a balanced offensive attack against A&M. Orgeron says protecting quarterback Joe Burrow will be a key if the Tigers want to keep that offensive attack balanced.

According to Orgeron, LSU will have to contain one of the most potent running attacks they've seen this year. The Aggies offense features running back Trayveon Williams, who has rushed for 1,326 yards and has 13 rushing touchdowns. Williams has four career games over 200 rushing yards. In his freshman year, Williams ran for 217 yards against Tennessee, then last year against UCLA he ran for 203 yards to open the season. So far this year, he's rushed for 240 yards against Northwestern State and 228 yards against Ole Miss.

Coach O says his team can’t show up and expect to win, even though they’ve had their way with the Aggies since they joined the SEC.
