Monday, May 14th, the 2018 Miss USA Mardi Gras parade is set to kick off at noon.  The world famous beauty pageant is holding an honest-to-goodness Mardi Gras-style parade in downtown Shreveport, complete with shut off streets, beads, music, and the 102 competitors in this years search for Miss USA and Miss Teen USA!

According to KSLA, the parade will stage at Milam Street.  The "Mardi Gras in May" will then roll to Common Street, down to Texas Avenue.  From Texas Avenue it will wind down to Market Street, then Market Street back to Milam Street for the grand finale at the staging area.  Former American Idol star Garrett Jacobs will be the Grand Marshall of the parade.  In addition, the Krewes of Centaur, Gemini, Harambee, Highland, and the Sobek as well as several marching bands will help support the parade to ensure the proper Shreveport experience is had by all.

Officials are asking drivers not to park near green-bagged meters or on the parade route after 10:30am.  Towing will be enforced.  Find out more by clicking here!
