The movie industry is coming back to Shreveport in a big way. A new film starring Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson will be filming in Shreveport-Bossier. The Highwaymen, which is about a pair of retired officers attempting to catch Bonnie and Clyde, will film for two weeks in Shreveport in mid-March. The rest of the film will be shot in New Orleans.

The director of the film is John Lee Hancock, best known for his movies the Blind Side and Saving Mr. Banks. Originally, the project was set to star Robert Redford and Paul Newman but the pair was replaced by Harrelson and Costner after Newman's death.

This will be Costner's third time to film in Shreveport and Harrelson's first. Costner starred in The Guardian and Mr Brooks, which were both filmed in the area.
