A massive fire early this morning has heavily damaged some of the buildings at First Baptist Church in Bossier City.

The blaze was called in at about 5:40 Monday monring and dozens of firefighters responded. Even some Shreveport firefighers responded to help put out the blaze.

Pastor Brad Jurkovich was on scene this morning and says the blaze started in the Kids Academy in one of the middle connecting areas and it spread to other buildings nearby. The blaze did not get to the main chapel.

Eyewitnesses say the flames were coming from the back of church near one of youth  centers, but the back of church has also started to catch fire.

Pastor Jurkovich talks with us about the blaze and the response.

No idea yet on what started the blaze.
