Payless Closing Down In Shreveport

Earlier this year Payless Shoes announced that it would be closing 400 stores across the country in a restructuring move.  On Tuesday the company filed Chapter 11 and announced that 9 of the stores in Louisiana will be shuttered, including the only two stores remaining in Shreveport.  The store at 2517 Hollywood and the one in the Summer Grove Shopping Center will close immediately.

There will still be two locations in the area to serve Payless customers, both in Bossier City.  The stores are at 2950 E. Texas St. and 2011 Airline Drive.
