A little over a month ago I packed my dog and everything I owned and made the move to SBC. There are things I have heard that have made me do a double take. Just to be clear I am pretty sure you can't say these words outside of Louisiana and not get a "what the heck"  look!

1. Pinch the tail then suck the head!

I have yet to have a local teach me the art of crawfish eating. There needs to be a how-to manual! Instead I get the "Well it's simple, all you gotta do is pinch the tail then suck the head!" Clearly I am doing it all wrong!

Nope, it's not a Oompa Loompa's last name. I guess I need to use a leveler when I hang my frames. According to a friend my work is "Cattywampus" When something isn't straight or it's misaligned.

3. Dressed

Not talking about you getting up in the morning and getting ready. When you order a po'boy asked for it dressed if you want the mayo, lettuce and tomato!

4. Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler

It means to let the good times roll! Everything in me wants to start singing Lady Marmalade doesn't it sound like it belongs in that song? I bet you I could sneak in "Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler" right after "Voulez vous coucher avec moi"

5. Brake Tag

That fancy little inspection sticker, it's more of a brake tag. Wonder where that originated?
