Soundgarden Drops New Song – ‘Been Away Too Long’ [AUDIO]

After weeks of taunting us with the promise of a new track from the upcoming album King Animal, Soundgarden has finally come through. When they gave us 'Live to Rise' from The Avengers soundtrack, we rejoiced...because here at last was new music from the almighty Soundgarden...the first Soundgarden song to be both fully recorded and released since the band reformed in 2010. And it was good. Not what we expected, but good. The band called it 'family friendly Soundgarden' - toned down for the movie. They promised a return to the heavy, vile, in-your-face Soundgarden when they eventually released the new album (King Animal is due November 13th). Well, our first taste has arrived.
