The Shreveport Police Department is searching for a set of suspects they say are responsible for several armed robberies throughout the city.

It all started on November 24th when three separate businesses were hit by armed bandits who made off with cash and valuables after holding employees at gunpoint. A press release from the SPD outlines the crimes:

The first incident occurred just before 1:00 a.m. when a suspect, described as a white male in is mid 30's entered the Circle K located in the 1000 block of Shreveport-Barksdale Highway. During the robbery the suspect, dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt, denim jeans and tennis shoes, acted as though he was armed with a weapon and demanded cash. After failing to intimidate the employee, the man fled the business without the benefit of cash.

A second robbery, roughly 30 minutes following the initial crime, was reported at the Circle K located in the 8500 block of Youree Drive. The suspect in the crime was described very similarly as the man who committed the earlier robbery on Shreveport-Barksdale Highway minutes earlier. During this encounter the man demanded money and was obliged by the clerk, who was not injured. The suspect fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of currency.

In a third incident occurring at 5:40 a.m. on the 24th, the Raceway gas station in the 200 block of East 70th Street was targeted by a male suspect who entered the business wearing a dark hooded sweater armed with a handgun. The suspect, believed to be a black male, made off with several cartons of tobacco products before fleeing the business. No injuries were reported. Authorities believe the white male suspect involved in the two prior robberies was also present inside the Raceway during the robbery, which suggests the suspects may be working in tandem.

Police are asking anyone with information on the identities of these suspects to contact Crimestoppers at (318) 673-7373 or visit their website at www.lockem.org
