Last night in California, the biggest names in Metal gathered to celebrate the heaviest music in the world. As in years past, the festivities got kicked off with a workshop from the masters giving out some tips and tricks and ended with a full blow, star-studded jam session of epic proportions!

Former Anthrax guitarist Dan Spitz was arrested on Christmas Day after an incident at his Lake Worth, Fla. home and booked on suspicion of domestic violence. Now, the prosecutors have revealed they won't pursue charges against Spitz.

There have been a lot of Supergroups formed as of late with metal legends (i.e. Winery Dogs, Adrenaline Mob, etc), but none may be bigger than Altitudes and Attitude! A&A features Dave Ellefson of Megadeth, Frank Bello of Anthrax, and Jeff Friedl of A Perfect Circle.

The holidays can be a stressful time, and for ex-Anthrax guitarist Dan Spitz, Christmas was memorable for all the wrong reasons. South Florida's Gossip Extra reports that the guitarist was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and spent Christmas Day behind bars.

Another year, another edition of the Grammy Awards. A bunch of great bands were given a Best Metal Performance nomination for the 2014 ceremony. Among the acts nominated are Anthrax, who received the nod for their cover of AC/DC's 'T.N.T.' We caught up with Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian on the phone to get his reaction to the nomination.

Anthrax's Scott Ian has just announced that he'll be releasing an official memoir. The beloved thrash guitarist has teamed up with prolific journalist Jon Wiederhorn to pen the book, which will be titled 'I'm the Man.'

The Bass Player Live! Concert & Awards Show honored musicians who too often get overlooked, though there was hardly any introduction needed for the night's top honoree -- Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler. Hartke helped line up some of metal's biggest names on Saturday night (Nov. 9) at Los Angeles' Fonda Theatre to salute the man who helped paved the way for their own careers.

Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian has started a new blog on his official site, and his first post is definitely newsworthy. He covers several different topics, but the one that will make Anthrax fans most excited is they have been working on several new songs.

Watch out Orange County! 'Metal Masters 5' will be taking place at the House of Blues in Anaheim, Calif. with an all-star lineup of metal greats taking part. The event is scheduled for Jan. 22, 2014.
