Whatever your opinion of heavy metal god and legendary crankster Dave Mustaine, there's no denying that the dude can shred. But what's even more impressive is this amazing cover of Mustaine's solo from Megadeth's 'Holy Wars...The Punishment Due.' Oh, and did we mention that this heavy metal fan plays it on an iPhone?

If this cover of Metallica’s ‘Enter Sandman’ by the appropriately named Mini Band is any indication, the future of metal is in good hands.

This fall is going to be a memorable one for Disturbed, particularly singer David Draiman. According to the tweet-happy Draiman, his hard-hitting band will release the 16-track B-sides, rarities and covers album ‘The Lost Children’ on Nov. 8. But before that, Draiman will reportedly tie the knot with his model/actress fiancée, Lena Yada, on Sunday (Sept. 25).

These days, Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor and Billy Idol don’t seem to have much in common, but back in the day that wasn’t the case. A recently unearthed clip shows a young Reznor covering one of Idol’s biggest hits, ‘Eyes Without a Face.’

When they entered the studio to work on songs for a follow-up to 2009′s ‘Volume 4: Songs in the Key of Love & Hate,’ Puddle of Mudd had a hard time finding the inspiration for new material — so they decided just to have fun playing some of their favorite tunes by other artists. “We were really burned out, and when we started trying to write again it just wasn’t time yet,” said guitarist Paul P
