Not only are Charm City Devils going to be a part of this year's awesome lineup for Festapalooza II on September 20, but they also have a brand spanking new album "Battles" coming out on September 23. Here is our first little taste of the new album, "Shots."

I don't know if you've noticed, but Shreveport has been lacking some serious rock action here lately. The Warehouse is all but closed. Mojo's is no longer Mojo's. There really isn't anywhere left to go for a rock show in Downtown Shreveport. But, never fear! The times are a changing. There is a new rock bar in Downtown Shreveport, Hangar 21!

I was pretty excited to see Fuel in the lineup for this year's Smith & Forge Festapalooza -- with Brett Scallions back as the frontman no less. Since I've never had the chance to see Fuel live before, I talked to some friends to see which five songs they absolutely could not go without hearing during this show.

One of the band's you can check out at the Smith & Forge Festapalooza II is Caroline's Spine. If you've been around Shreveport for any amount of time, chances are you've seen Caroline's Spine. Jimmy Newquist & company have been a staple in the Shreveport/Bossier music scene for as long as they've been in existence.

Scott Weiland, whether you love him or hate him, is one of the greatest frontmen in rock history. The guy is pure, raw energy. Not to mention he is one hell of a song writer.

The line up for the Smith & Forge Festapalooza II was already pretty epic with the likes of Scott Weiland, Kevin Martin, Fuel, Avatar, Fozzy, Charm City Devils, and Downfall Rising on the bill for September 20th in Festival Plaza. But yesterday, we made it a little bit bigger and better! We are proud to announce that Caroline's Spine has been added to the line up for Festapalooza.

A lot of folks have been calling, Facebooking, Tweeting, etc. begging us for details on this year's edition of Festapalooza. Well, it looks like the cat is out of the bag -- at least partially. Downfall Rising, a regional band from Lufkin, slipped up and announced that they'll be playing this year's Festapalooza a little bit early.

Saturday night, we had a KILLER show with Nothing More. You gotta love those guys. Unfortunately, rock shows are gonna be few and far between for a few weeks. However, if you're up for a mini road trip to Monroe or Longview, there will be plenty of rock to hold you over till we announce the lineup and info for Festapalooza which will be coming very, very shortly! Should Amber Dorsey and Preston Tyler have children, they now have a great proposal story to share with them. The couple got engaged Saturday at Shreveport's rock show Festapalooza right in front of Pop Evil.
