Jade's tees

Okay...technically not what you'd call "local," but I was running very late this morning...and this happened to be at the top of my t-shirt stack, I like the design, and it fits well. Plus, the band DID play a show with some of our locals...

I've seen these guys live a total of....ONE time. I think there were a couple of other Shreveport shows of theirs where something might have come up with either me or them.  One of the things I love most about these Austin, Texas, guys is the way they dress...

Whoops! I forgot to post this yesterday...so it's a two-fer Tuesday! : )  I don't wear this shirt often enough, because I have a very different problem with it than most of my others...it's a little too SNUG.  Haha!  I can't tell you when I met the Dekree guys, but it's the one and only time I've ever seen them in person...

After taking last Friday off (my first day back from a week's vacation), I thought I'd start off the week with another talented east Texas band. (I did black out a nipple on the angel there...got a young child at home, after all, and don't want her asking questions...

So...who's going on vacation with Jade? THREE area bands, actually! Two of these shirts are ones I acquired last weekend...and have altered to my specifications. Haha! Nottaway from Ruston (who played Friday night at the Warehouse) and locals My Own Legion (who played Saturday night, same place) are making the trip to Oregon with me...

I managed to run into two of the guys from Simsboro, Louisiana, band Dugdemona at the Riverside Warehouse this past Saturday night (and forgive me for not remembering your names!!!)  They recognized me...asked me if I had a shirt...I said no...

They made their big debut at Mia's over the weekend...and if you ever heard Pandora's Kyn or Tyrants of Steel...you'll know them all! Vocalist Carson and Ricky Dalme are former PK'ers...Tyrants members Dee and Jayden are on drums and guitar, respectively...

I ALMOST chose the purple t-shirt with the dinosaur on the front (trying to add a little color to my band tee wardrobe...lol!) at Tetrafusion's Friday night Warehouse show...but decided I liked the black horse one better. : )  As the design implies, this is a band that does appeal to ALL the senses...

You might ask..."Why the extra T at the end of Rocket?" I don't have the answer to that question...and it doesn't matter anyway. This is east Texas' premiere glam-rock band, complete with crazy hair and eyeliner that looks even better than mine...

In case you can't read the logo...it says "Are You A Freak (Like Me)? (Not gonna answer that question, by the way...haha!) That's acually one of this Beaumont, Texas, band's newer songs. But it wasn't the first I got from the guys. The first one was called "Crash," and the first time I heard it, I was linterally in AWE...

Four incredibly talented, (and, let's face it, good-looking) Louisiana guys! If you want the best of what the Shreveport music scene has to offer, this is THE band to watch! And as far as local vocalists/songwriters go, Adam Dale is in my top five (could very well be number one...

After hearing his name for...well, YEARS!...I finally got a chance to get East Texan Wes Jeans on the Homegrown show back in late March.  That was just ahead of his show at the Riverside Warehouse with The Kul (Johnny and Dane from that band also made the trip to be on Homegrown that weekend)...
