Upon arrival crews found smoke coming from the area around the Woolworth Road Landfill.

There have been stories where a person was accidentally dumped into the back of a garbage truck and crushed inside it, which is always an unfortunate story. This guy, though, was dumped into the back of a garbage truck because he was going through a dumpster, but was lucky enough to not be crushed.

On my way home from work saw some major smoke coming off I-220 right around Cross Lake. I thought it was probably a grass fire from a cigarette that had been thrown out of a car window, but as I got closer I could tell it was a lot bigger than that. Turns out it was a huge fire at the landfill right off Russell Road.
