The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recently announced it's annual list of nominees and this year's lists includes acts such as the Cure, Beastie Boys and Guns N Roses (all well deserved). However, over the years, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has snubbed some of the biggest names in Rock.

How in the hell is Rush not in the Hall of Fame? Rush possesses 24 gold records and 14 platinum (3 multi-platinum) records. Rush's sales statistics place them third behind The Beatles and The Rolling Stones for the most consecutive gold or platinum studio albums by a rock band. And, it's RUSH!!!

    Cheap Trick

When you are referred to as the "American Beatles" by the foreign press, I say there is a pretty good argument that you should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Plus these guys are on every "Top Rock Bands" list ever made.

    New York Dolls

The New York Dolls not only were the leaders of the Glam Rock scene in the late 70's, early 80's, but they created the New York music scene that eventually spawned the likes of the Ramones, Blondie, Television, and the Talking Heads. Their influence can not be denied! If you don't believe me, just ask Motley Crue.

    The Replacements

Classic Rock riffs and punk rock style made up the Replacements' influential style. This band single handedly changed the course of rock music by essentially creating Alternative rock and influencing bands like REM, Green Day, and Gaslight Anthem.

It's KISS! Need I say more? This band made rock mainstream and brought rock and roll to the masses. That alone should qualify them.
