After slugging away at small clubs and crappy record label deals for 5 years, AXE floundered without a hit and no one was really interested in their music or carrying them on a tour...until 1982 when they switched labels for their third album.

It was at this point that they were the opening band for Judas Priest, Scorpions, Iron Maiden, Ozzy and even ZZ Top, all to support their song "Rock and Roll Party in the Streets". Unfortunately, the band had no more hits, but they did continue for a few years, but eventually disbanded.

That one hit came back around in 2004 in the movie D.E.B.S. during a lesbian kissing session, which is included below:
