This cover song is probably one of the best in the history of cover songs.  Even Pete Townsend was impressed with this one.

When you go back in the history of W.A.S.P., the band started out as a glorified Hair Metal Band that sang about sex, used vulgar lyrics and violent imagery, but always seemed like they were having a good time.

Over time, the bend members left due to disagreements, drug habits and W.A.S.P. became Blackie Lawless' band, which it was in the first place. Around 1985, the sound of W.A.S.P. got less and less fun and party-boy and more serious.

Around 1989, the band released "The Headless Children". This was a concept album covering the hard subject of child abuse, the death of friends, drug abuse and lost love. While the subject matters was deep, the musicianship was deeper, darker (a lot more minor chords) and more stripped down. One of the best examples of stripping the sound down to being a straight ahead rock band was the cover of "The Real Me"...enjoy
