From the vintage B-29 Superfortress to today's high-tech B-2 bomber, you have the opportunity to see some of America's most iconic aircraft in action this weekend.  It's the Barksdale Air Force Base Air Show this Saturday and Sunday.

There will be static and dynamic displays, commercial stunt pilot exhibitions, and simulated warfare scenarios. For the latter, make sure you bring your earplugs. These reenactments are a spectacle to behold, and they are very, very loud.  If you've never experienced the feeling of a bomb exploding a few hundred feet away, it's a sensation you won't soon forget.

Gates open at 11am both days.  Admission is free, but be sure to get there early to ensure getting a parking space.  For more information visit the Air Show website.

The highlight of the two-day event will be performances by the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels precision flying squadron. Rockin' Rick had the opportunity to take a flight with a Blue Angel and you can share the experience with him below.
