A lot of pro wrestling fans, and Americans in general, are excited today because tonight Ric Flair takes over ESPN. After months of anticipation, ESPN's Award-Winning documentary series '30 For 30' will look at the life and career of The Man, Ric Flair.

Flair has a long history in Louisiana, and the Shreveport area (honestly, he's got a legendary history in most regions) from matches with Junkyard Dog to stops on major staple shows like Monday Night Raw. In fact, his final match in our area was on Monday Night Raw back in 2007.

Ten years ago, Flair took on Kenny Dykstra in a televised match on Monday Night Raw. The match actually took place in Bossier City, at the CenturyTel (now CenturyLink) Center. The "wooooooos" were echoing that night as Flair "stole" a win over Dykstra with a "dirty pin" using the ropes after a 3 and a half minute match.

Just over a year later, Flair would retire after his final Wrestlemania match against Shawn Michaels.
