Call of Duty fans across the world are eagerly awaiting the first multiplayer footage from Infinity Ward's new game, Call of Duty: Ghosts. The multiplayer reveal, scheduled for 10:30 a.m. PST, will pull back the curtain on what players can expect from the next entry in the hugely popular first-person shooter franchise.

But will what players see today be representative of what they get when Call of Duty: Ghosts ships on November 5, 2013? If history is any indication, that answer is no. Here's what we expect to see today and what we expect to see when it launches.

What We'll Get: A bunch of awesome-looking guns, but only a handful that are any good

What We'll See: Smooth-running, frenetic gameplay with zero latency

What We'll Get: Laggy gameplay where you'll shoot a guy first but die first

What We'll See: A multiplayer gameplay experience that will be touted by the event's attendees as the second coming and 'best Call of Duty ever!'

What we'll get: Disappointment

But who knows? Maybe it will actually be amazing.
