State Representative Cedric Glover and Caddo Registrar of Voters Ernie Roberson joined 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright for another "Shreveport History Day." The two longtime public servants dropped their official titles for the morning to put on their hats as Shreveport historians, covering a variety of topics including legendary area restaurants of yesteryear, the city's vast - and oft under-appreciated musical history and how the Louisiana State Fair has changed over the decades.

Roberson and Glover mention Shreveport eateries including Bossier City's long defunct Double-R Barbecue, Freeman & Harris Cafe and Commerce Street's Abe's Steak and Seafood.

Both tell of fond boyhood memories of the Louisiana State Fair, with Roberson regaling with stories of growing up within earshot of the fair grounds and Glover recalling years as a participant in 4-H, including his first meeting (of what became a lifelong friendship) with legendary Shreveporter Virginia Shehee.
