Oh the irony here is rich and I hope she burnt up all the way to jail.

Colleen Walker of Daytona Beach, Florida, was arrested after leaving her 5-year-old son in a hot car while she shopped at a Dollar General. Someone in the parking lot heard the little guy screaming, and thankfully called 911.

Walker left the driver's side window open for the thirty minutes she was inside the store, but temperatures inside the vehicle still reached well over 100 degrees. Luckily, paramedics checked on the boy and he was 100% OK.

Of course, once confronted, Walker claimed she was only in the store for about 10 minutes, but police pulled the camera footage which showed her inside for 28 minutes.

From my understanding of the story, Walker was going to be let go with a warning after officers told her they've seen kids die after sitting at that temperature for half the time her son was. She insisted on arguing, and contending that is was no big deal and she did nothing wrong. Naturally, she was then arrested for child neglect.

The best part comes next... During the ride to the jail, she complained to the cops that it was too hot inside their squad car! She even asked them if they could crank up the A/C!

I really hope they use that in court.

She's facing up to five years if convicted.
