Ezekiel Elliott has had a wild year so far. He's been accused of beating up a Night club DJ. He's been investigated by the police and NFL for various off the field issues. And he was issued a 6 game suspension following allegations of domestic abuse (a charge the police cleared him of).

Zeke was supposed to start serving his 6 games immediately. But, the All Pro running has managed to once again delay serving his punishment thanks to an injunction filed in court. Elliott, for the second time this season, was granted a temporary restraining order, delaying his six-game NFL suspension and allowing him to continue playing while the issue is resolved.

The order will delay Elliott's suspension for two weeks or until a judge makes a ruling in the case. So, at least in the short term, Zeke will be on the field for the Boys.

Long term, however, this may end up costing the Cowboys. The longer Zeke puts off serving his suspension, the closer it gets to playoff time when the Cowboys will need every available hand. Unless Elliott can convince a court to completely overturn the suspension, he could end up missing critical games on the Cowboy's road to the playoffs.

I guess we will see how this all plays out for Zeke and the Cowboys over the next few weeks. The Cowboys will take on the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday in  San Fran.
