2 Former Mayors Challenge Perkins Claims

2 former Mayor's challenge information being pushed by the current Mayor.

Adrian Perkins is asking the City Council to approve spending $40,000 on his transition team and he says

We looked at the previous administration, they spent $60,000 on her transition. and the administration before that spent half a million on strategic planning. In the spirit of transparency and fiscal responsibility. we are using only $40,000 and then we are doing other private fundraising to cover the whole bill.

But former Mayor Ollie Tyler tells KEEL News she did not spend one dime of city money on her transition. She says the Mayor is sending out misinformation and he should clear it up.

KEEL News also caught up with former Mayor Cedric Glover who tells us "I spent no public money on my inauguration, transition or any 'strategic planning' specific to my administration."

Glover does acknowlege funds were spent on the 2030 Shreveport Caddo Master Plan which was led by the citizens and approved and adopted by both the Caddo Commission and the City Council.
