The list of nominees for the 2018 Grammy Awards has come out and Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters and Chris Cornell are among the alternative and indie acts whose newest works have been recognized. The Grammys will be presented on Jan. 28, 2018 in New York.

They'll be competing with Cornell's "The Promise" for Performance. Queens of the Stone Age's Villains was nominated for Best Rock Album.

In the Best Alternative Music Album category, Arcade Fire's Everything Now will be going up against records released this year by Gorillaz, LCD Soundsystem, Father John Misty and the National. Coldplay's Kaleidescope EP is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album, for which Lana Del Rey and Imagine Dragons also received recognition.
