It's no secret that Shreveport-Bossier has a love for wings. We keep every wing shop nearby busy. Little did we know it was time for more wings, and this time right off of I-20.

Do you remember the Dairy Queen on Greenwood road that has been empty for a couple of years now?

That is the spot that Daq's Wings and Grill has set their eyes on. They have rolled their sleeves up and are working hard to turn the old abandoned Dairy Queen into a destination for fun.

According to Ryan Read, a manager for Daq's Wings and Grill this location on Greenwood road will be the perfect spot to hit up before you visit the lake on a hot summer day. They plan to have a variety of daiquiris you can pick up and take to the lake. This location isn't too far from several boat launches on Crosslake.

So what are the big renovation plans?

Read said there will be a large covered patio with huge fans that will make it perfect to enjoy live music and tvs all over to make it a destination to cheer on your favorite team. They will even have a drive-through window for carry-out items.

Read said they are hoping to get the new location completely renovated and aiming to open shortly after the new year.

Daq's Wings and Grill on Greenwood will have the same menu as their Old Minden Location in Bossier and their Southern Loop location in Shreveport.

Now we anxiously wait for the delicious wings and refreshing drinks to take over Greenwood road.
