Tool and Metallica Meet Onstage — A Metal Monster is Born [VIDEO]

Tool was playing a gig in Hawaii when Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett jumped onstage and lead the band into a cover of the classic 'Tallica instrumental "Orion." It's a match made in heavy metal heaven, if you ask me.

At their Jan. 14th performance in Honolulu, Hawaii, Tool were joined onstage by Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammet for a bit of face-melting mid-song metal extravagance.

Interestingly, Hawaii was also the location where Hammett joined Tool for a rendition of Sober in the Summer of 2006.

With any luck, Tool will intensify the sporadic progress of their next album, the much-anticipated follow-up to their 2006 masterpiece 10,000 Days.
