Alice Cooper Returns To Shreveport In 2023

Shreveport's concert calendar for 2023 is filling up pretty well for only being February. At this point, there are already multiple Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members who are scheduled to appear in the first half of this year.

One of those performer's is a name well known to Shreveport and Bossier City residents.

The living legend himself, Alice Cooper...

With a career that spans more than 50 years, what has Alice Cooper not done? He's a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member. Rolling Stone called him the most "beloved heavy metal entertainer" of all time.

But it's not just music. He's a horror culture icon...He's appeared in a ton of movies, playing Freddy Krueger's stepfather, with John Carpenter in Prince of Darkness, and also contributing the theme for Jason Voorhees in Jason Lives, "The Man Behind The Mask".

He has been in the Simpsons, made his comic book debut in Marvel Presents, and was named by VH1 as one of the 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.

Just a couple years ago, fans in Shreveport were able to get up close and personal with Alice, when he appeared at Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con. That appearance came in 2021, and thousands of fans came out to meet him in-person.

You can also hear him weekly in Shreveport and Bossier, on Highway 98.9 with his 'Nights With Alice Cooper' show. That show airs Saturday nights at 7pm.
