These are the people you can count on through thick and thin. They're always there when you need them; they never judge you; and they make you want to be a better person.

If one of those friends in your circle is Amber Prince, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Crystal Westerfield is one of those people influenced by Amber and she's not bashful about telling the world how awesome Amber is.

In fact, it was Crystal's nomination letter about Amber that made it so easy to name Amber this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Just take a look at that letter.

This beautiful soul has a heart of gold. Just recently Amber and her Mom (Sharon) raised tons of donations for the Ida Hurricane relief efforts by giving away a free snow cone for every donation made at her shop called Kalona Kones. With all this help and support they were able to donate to family’s in need in South Louisiana. They had also opened up their home to family evacuating from the Hurricane. This is just 1 of many selfless acts I’ve seen Amber and her family make. Just a few months ago, Amber wanted to bless several families in need of diapers, wipes, food etc. For people who could not afford these items at the time. So she made a post in a Facebook group page, asking what they needed and their address. She went shopping on Walmart.com and had everything shipped directly to their addresses. I’m thankful to we have gotten to know her. She always wants to support people and watch them succeed and grow in life. We need more loving and caring people like her in this world!

Amber, thank you for being so amazing! You are a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live! And because you've been 'Caught in the Act' the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner!
