Houston rock group American Fangs have officially joined the lineup for the 99X/Redd's Apple Ale Festapalooza, presented by Bossier City Harley-Davidson. The band will rock Shreveport's Festival Plaza on September 14 with Sevendust, Filter, Pop Evil, SOiL, Texas Hippie Coalition and Digital Summer.

American Fangs consists of Gabriel Cavazos (vocals), Micah Miller (drums), Kyle Shimek (bass, vocals), Nik Slimp (guitar) and Beau Gobert (guitar).

According to the band, their vibe is all about "loud guitars, big hooks, punk rock attitude." Hearing their new single Pomona's catchy punk hook, driving guitars and 'whoa-oh-whoa-oh-whoa' refrain, it's hard to argue.

It's a summer song if there ever was one -- proven without a doubt by the accompanying video, which has the band playing on a rooftop at dusk and rocking out during a road trip.
