Shreveport Residents are Outraged After Gun Violence in Shreveport claims the Life of 13-Year-Old Girl.

The shooting happened Sunday afternoon just before 2:30 pm in the 4500 block of Fairfield. Shreveport is mourning the loss of 13-year-old Landry Anglin who was shot and killed by one of the stray bullets.

According to Police Chief Wayne Smith, three cars were involved in a rolling shootout on Erie Street and several shots were fired. As of now, only one car involved in the shootout has been recovered. Police are searching for the other two cars.

Shreveport City Councilwoman LeVette Fuller Said:

"Our community keeps finding ways to fail our children. I’m just so so sorry to watch another family experience the grief of having a child stolen by violence in this city. We should all be devastated. We should all be devastated every time it happens. We should be devastated enough to stop it. Shreveport Police continue to investigate this tragic shooting and urge anyone with information to contact them."

So Far Shreveport's Mayor Adrian Perkins Has Yet to Address This Tragic Shooting.

Doug Warner took to his Facebook to share that Anglin's family has organized a Community in Crisis Walk today.

"COMMUNITY IN CRISIS WALK: One of Landry Anglin’s family members sent me this. Everyone is urged to meet at 5 pm at Ockley and Fairfield for a Community in Crisis Walk. The walk will continue to Fairfield and Erie, near the home where Landry was shot and killed by a stray bullet during a rolling shootout on Sunday."
